Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Results

Thank you so much to everyone who entered the giveaway. This was so much fun! And, as a group, we are all doing so many good things for others. I made an extra effort to do something good for someone else all week. I returned lots of carts to stores this week, gave a woman a ride home on a cold night, gave a big smile to a store worker after a lady was rude to him, & donated some gift to the town giving trees. It really does feel so good to help others.

You all had some really great things that you are doing to help others. As a group, we sent Christmas cards, filled freezers of friends with health issues, helped an elderly man load his groceries, bought coffee for a colleague, knit socks for a friend, sent a care package, bought food for a family who's father is in prison, donated dog beds to the animal shelter, knit a chemo cap to a friend starting chemotherapy, cleaned a friend's house, helped a lady push a stalled car, drove an elderly person to a church lunch, stayed at the hospital with a sick family member, made efforts to be more patient with our little ones, made efforts to be extra nice to a spouse returning home from work at the end of the day, brought flowers to a lady who just moved into a nursing home, wrapped donated gifts for a giving tree.. Lots of us pledged to make an effort to be extra nice and/or find a good deed to do:)

Some of my favorites are,

'I was extra nice to the lady who cut my fabric at the fabric store even though she's always in a grumpy mood',

'We just purchased a bike for delivering medical supplies in Tanzania',

'A lady stopped me in the frozen food section of Walmart last night and with tears in her eyes, asked me if I could buy her groceries. I did, and I gave her a $25 gift card to Walmart too.'

' I helped pay for the funeral of one of my patients who died in November... He was a special man that lived with dignity and died way too soon and his family did not have enough resources...'

I could go on and on. Well, I kind of just did, but anyway, it really makes me happy that as a group we spread a lot of cheer & good will.  Nice work! Now let's try to keep it up, through the holiday season and as the new year begins...

Here is some more important business-the giveaway winner. This random number generator thing was so fun!
